About Cherlyn Seruto

Cherlyn Seruto is a recognized leader in the energy, sustainability, and climate sectors. Over the past two decades, she has engaged with more than fifty demand side management (DSM) programs across fifteen utilities in the United States and Canada, and collaborated with equity-focused initiatives nationally and within tribal governments. As the former facilitator of the Illinois Stakeholder Advisory Group’s (IL SAG) NTG Working Group, she helped shape statewide evaluation methods that reflect national best practices.

Her experience spans program design, implementation, and evaluation across residential, commercial, industrial, and government sectors. She brings deep expertise in multiple forms of research, including customer surveys, in depth interviews, and stakeholder and trade ally engagement.

Cherlyn’s approach combines systems thinking with practical execution. She helps clients navigate complex challenges, clarify scope, and build consensus around effective solutions. She also brings a decade of experience in resource extraction, community-focused government programs, and the non profit sector—providing a holistic perspective on energy and sustainability transitions.

In addition to project delivery, she is passionate about improving processes that help teams perform at their best. As a management consultant and trainer, she has developed methods that increase consistency, reduce errors, and strengthen outcomes across teams and organizations.
